One of the biggest problems in our homes isn't necessarily that we have too much stuff - although that is a problem, too - but rather, not everything has a home. So we're left with a bunch of random items laying around: on our countertops, on the floor, strewn about on the furniture... pretty much anywhere but put away. And that's not because we are trying to be messy, it's just because we don't know where to put the stuff.
I know I'm guilty of this; my problem is with paperwork, vitamin & supplement bottles, and shoes. And part of it is that I'm afraid if certain things are out of sight, then they will be consequently out of mind, which totally doesn't need to be the case. And now that I'm currently living in a small space, making sure everything has a place is more important than ever, which has led me to search for the best storage picks from Amazon to get your home in order.
So, away we go!
Get your mudroom in order
I went from having a large mudroom with shoe cubbies, closets, coat hooks, and shelves to having a small entryway that doesn't even have a coat closet (even my tiny New York apartment had a coat closet!). So whatever you entryway looks like, you need to keep it in order, and in my opinion, the biggest problem is usually shoes, so here are a few options for every type of space.
Get your office in order
Your office storage situation is going to depend largely on how you use your office, obviously. If you work from home full-time, you may need a different setup than someone who uses their office only on occasion. You may share a home office space, or you may have young children and in that case you need different storage solutions. But no matter how you use your office, your storage needs should pretty much fall into the same categories. So here are a few ideas!
Get your kitchen in order
I could probably make close to a hundred recommendations for the kitchen, but I'll try to stick to the basics here: pantry, fridge, cabinet, and drawer storage. But for even more recommendations, check out this blog.

Get your bathrooms in order
Bathrooms are a top contender for one of the messiest potential spots in your home. Between the toiletries, linens, and cleaning products, you likely have lots of items in your bathroom that need organization.
Get your basement in order
Your basement, attic, or garage definitely takes the brunt of all your extra junk and stuff, so this is one place that should definitely be in order. Check out this blog for lots of tips on garage organization, which also apply to your basement or attic - wherever your storage space is located.
Creating a sense of order in your home doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it can actually be an enjoyable and rewarding process with the right storage solutions. Every item in your space deserves a proper place, not just to cut down on clutter but to bring clarity and ease to your daily life. Organized spaces can help you feel more in control, reduce stress, and even save time when everything is exactly where it belongs. With a thoughtful approach to storage, you can transform your home into a calm, functional, and welcoming sanctuary.
